Windvane on 356 or 36

I just purchased a 2004 Hunter 36. I have a Navik windvane from a previous boat, Yankee 30. While the mounting would be complicated I have seen some mounted with scoop transoms. Two questions:
1) For those that have used a windvane on a 356 or 36, what kind and how did it work?
2) Is the Navik to small/light for the H36?

I purchased a used Monitor Windvane that was on a Beneteau, mounted to their scoop. Owner was selling it because it was in the way of their boat access. They has a lot of stainless pipe configured to hold the vane up and in place. The vane sits pretty high in the air so you need to engineer the vane support to handle the forces. I think you can look at SCANMAR in Los Angeles and find some of their designs for scoop applications.

I looked up the Navik and they do not have instructions for mounting on a scoop transom.

As you can see, if you zoom in, I have a Windpilot Pacific model on my 410. Works great, as any well made servo pendulum should. I worked for the German manufacturer in the late 90's, always liked the name for my boats in case you wondered.
Mounted with 4 bolts on the swimstep, my ladder works and stows just fine.
From my recollection the navik was considered somewhat fragile limiting it to lighter boats to not much over 30ft.
But, that doesn't mean it wouldn't work fine in most conditions, especially if you know the unit & what would stress it. Some self steering is better than none and if I didn't have the extra 1000's to move up I'd make it work.
I guess you'd just need to build a base to mount it then.
