Can someone recomend a Windlass that will fit a 2005 33 Hunter which has a large anchor locker which is designed for such? If you have a diagram for installation, that would also be helpful. Thanks:cry:

I'm just about to finish my installation on my Hunter 336, takes some time to do it right, used a Dolphin 1000 windlass, 32 lb plow anchor + 30' 5/16 HT chain, only able to feed 100' of rope+ chain into the bow without fouiling, not using the anchor locker itself, rather thru a 3 1/2" PVC pipe into the bow, added a bilge pump, screen to support the rode (4" under for water), I will use the existing locker for 200' of rope & chain with an extra 31 lb danforth anchor, controls in cockpit + up & down at the locker, spare
battery in the bow with trickle charger to run the winch & pump. Cut the anchor locker lid back 12" to mount the winch, moved the hinge, so the rear part still opens for extra anchor. Top Gyspy can be used to pull the extra anchor, or main sail, or bosen chair as required.
