windlass replacement 352

I am replacing the windlass on my 352 and would appreciate any recommendation on a replacement model. The Lewmar Pro 1000 looks to be about right.

I have same windlass installed in my boat, works grate, easy to replace the old one. Have ours with gypsy for 5/16 chain.

I have the 1000. I read somewhere that soeone paid extra for the free-fall, but for some reason was not happy with that functioning right. I have a CQR 35 and 177' of 5/16 chain. It would use 9/16 5/8 line... do NOT use 1/2 if your gypsy is the larger, 9/16-5/8 one. I did when trying to retrieve a friends anchor, and the rope wrapped around and broke the stripper piece.
