I am considering to install a windlass in my Oday 23.
Anyone already did it?
My initial thought is to enlarge the chain locker (make it deeper, so the chain could proper fall there), create an access below the deck and re-fiber the deck to leave the windlass alone there. Since the bow is a little tight, I would consider to remove one cleat (either star or portside) to setup an anchor berth there.
would this work? has anyone done this before? or using a differente approach?
any tips, ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
