Windex Replacement

I was working on my C30 today in the yard and noticed that the windex is missing on the mast. I stored her with the mast up this winter and I am wondering if I need to unstep the mast to replace the windex or if it can be done easily by climbing the mast. My launch date is this coming Friday and I will not have a chance to attend to this before launch. Should I pospone launch and lower the pole?

Hi Bill: Not a big deal to use a bosun's chair and be hauled up the mast. If you are on the heavy side, find a "skinny" friend and haul them up. While your up there, be sure to inspect all fittings and attachments. Replacing a windex is one of the easier tasks performed "up the mast". Fair winds Dave
