Going through all the little stuff stuffed deep in our new-to-us boat, and came across this artifact.I think it's part of the Fleming wind vane system. The diamond-shaped appurtenance can be rotated to engage one of the holes on the outer wheel of the device.
I'm sure there'll be more questions in the future. In the meantime, I'll search the manuals.
