Which electric generation system to install is my dilemma, I do not want to effect the sailing performance, nor take away from available deck space. Any ideas from other beneatau owners?

DuoGen (combined wind/prop generation) or Kronos (Mast mounted on spreaders system)

Usually best to maximize solar first then move towards wind.

Lots of good spots for solar on the 411 - dodger, bimini, or davits, all stay out of your way (mostly). Until I spend more time in the Trades, solar would be my choice, and I would give hydro generators a close look before I put one of those whistlemonkeys on my boat.

I believe there was a time when wind power was the sensible option in most areas, but due to the solar power systems becoming much more efficient and affordable, I think the wind generation systems are taking a back seat to solar.

there may still be areas of the world where wind power is a better option, but I would doubt if you are going to be spending enough time in that area any time soon to make wind power a better choice than solar power.

for me, in my area, just the sound of the wind generator working is enough to make me turn to solar as the first choice:D

Vibration is irritating on a boat and that is a problem with wind generators, plus low output. Solar is the way to go. Chief, Fcc lic. #1890
