wind generator AGAIN

Sorry everybody, I know we've been here before, but I've been researching these things for half a year & have no definitive answer yet.
It seems that the KISS high output wind generator might be the one to go with, but I would really appreciate any feedback from those of you who are actually are using a wind generator of any kind & cruising.
Noise is of some concern, of course, but also charging underway. I need to cover an autopilot & a Garmin chartplotter & a wind direction/speed indicator, roughly about 3 amps steady w/ 6 or 8 peak on 12 volt.
I will be mounting it on the mizzen if that matters.

The only time I have been on a boat with a wind generator was 10 yrs ago.
For the most part it worked well when we were beating into the wind in the Mediteranian . When we were crossing the Atlantic from the Canary Island to Barbodos we were going down wind in the tradewinds and there wasn't enough apparent wind to make it work, and we lost our refridgeration. Tied up at dockside or at anchor, it worked well.
I don't have one on my boat and i'm not sure that I need one . I'd sooner have solar panels but they aren't in my budget either.
I really don't remember and signifigant amount of noise, but a bungie cord will stop it if you don't want it to work
Just my two cents.
