winches

Has any one replaced the winches(not wenches) on a Hunter 260? I would like self tailing. CorkyMeriCay

I just use winchers

Winchers are not as good as self tailing winches but they are easy to install and try out. Many boats have them includung mine and they are available at West Marine and many other suppliers. I also recommend spinlocks for the jib sheets.

I have tried winchers and have not been sattisfied with the effect. I have actually put them on twice thinking I did not give them enough of a try.ct

I will Install the No 14c Lewmar and finally will see how they work,I guess my First mate would want to keep you posted.Ulises.
