Winch

I would like to get a spare winch handle, but the winches on my boat are a little unusual. Does anybody have any info on this type of winch? Please see picture.

Try Minneys

I don't know what it's called, but I'm pretty sure that this is an old model winch. There are some, similar ones that have the handle fit into a slot in the bottom.You're probably not going to find a new one and a good source for used stuff is Minney's Yacht Surplus in Southern California. There are probably similar sources in the Seattle area. I'd e-mail Minney's a picture with some measurements and see what they come up with. They will deal with you via mailorder. I would also think that the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle would know of some good sources for used stuff in your area.Bob

Used Stuff in Seattle

A fun source for used marine equipment and hardware in the Seattle area is called "Admiralty".They are located in Ballard, near Shilshole Marina, right next to West Marine, and a fun little coffee/sandwich place called The Purple Cow.Admiralty has a tremendous inventory of stuff.
