winch

I have a 40 lewmar winch and decided to clean and lubricate. Everything went well until I was ready to connect the top plastic plate with four screws.... inside this plastic plate there are two half disk that secure the winch and keeps it from going up (seperate parts). I can't get it to line up the holes to fit all the screws. Is there a special tool to secure these half disks and make them fit again???

I founded out about that myself when I took my winches apart. You have to put your finger in hole where the winch handle fits and pull up slightly and push the half plates in until they fall into place.
