Can I use a Harken no. 16 self-tailing winch to replace the Barient #8 currently on my Hunter 23.5?

Consider comparing the diameters of the two winches.

There is another factor which I would consider first in winches which is the bolt pattern. If it means drilling more holes into the boat, the answer is no.

It was the bolt pattern I was considering. I was hoping to find 2 used self-tailing winches and the Harkens looked to be the right size but I was uncertain of bolt pattern. Any suggestions?
