I had a great sail on Sunday, but the bad news is that I broke my winch. To make matters worse, it is a Seaboard #3 and, apparantly they don't make those any more. I would very much like to avoid, not only the expense of a new winch, but all the mounting problems as well. If I could get the part, it would be so easy. Does anyone have a source? Used parts are fine as long as they fit (I know, I'm soo picky). Thanks

Try Minnie's Yacht Surplus in Newport Beach. They always have what you're looking for. Not sure where you're writing from, but you can call and have them send you the parts... They're very resonably priced. I had a great sailing day Sunday too!!! Good Luck!

Thanks

Lori, Thanks very much. I'm over here on the east coast so I have a while to wait for Minnie's to open, but will call them first thing CA time. Tom, The part that broke is the part that the winch handle goes into. For lack of a better description, it is a cup that goes down to the bottom and also serves to hold the winch together. It sheared of just below the splined portion. Any thoughts? David
