In a few of the gears on two Lewmar 40s, I found a two piece sleeve bearing. Do I grease or oil these, and on both surfaces? The inner diameters mate to the pins that hold the gears in place, and the outer surface to the gears.
Also, the inner part of this Lewmar 16 gear that interfaces to the pawls looked uneven around the inner diameter. The winch works just fine however. I have another Lewmar 16 that needs to come apart. It is rarely used. I will compare and maybe swap if I see a marked difference. Do you see any issue with this?
