winch handle

My 25 came without a winch handle the problem is that it is a SEABOARD winch with a hard to match large allen wrench type pattern. square,star and small allen wrench patterns do not work. any suggestions on where I might find a replacement will be greatly appreciated.

Brud, You may have to make an adaptor to

fit the winch recepticle and then attach it to a a standard winch handle if all else fails. Not a hard thing to do. If this is a skill you need help on then talk to a good marine parts store counterman and he should be able to send you to a machine shop that can do this modification for you. The answer could be to take a allen wrench of the proper size, cut it and weld or otherwise attach it to another handle. It shouldn't be too spendy.RayS/V Speedy

Brud:Try on of the used marine stores, someone will have these handles. There are several shops in the FL. area and Minneys in So. Cal.
