Here's the final rendering of the 12 foot dory skiff we're having built for Barbara this winter:

It's probably a bit large to be a towed dinghy for most boats but would be a nice beach tender for a boat on a mooring. Clint Chase Boatbuilder of Portland will be making CNC cut stitch and glue kits available soon as well as building complete boats.

How difficult would it be to modify this to approx 9' to be used as a yacht tender ?
Would it be able to handle a 4 or 6 hp OB ?
Could make an interesting winter project !

It's not as pretty but I think this would be a better boat at a 9 foot length. It's designed primarily to tow well and facilitate landing on beaches with dry feet. It would handle a small motor but you wouldn't want to try and push it at planning speeds.
