Will A Simrad Wheel Pilot Fit A Catalina??

Hi All, I'm trying to find out if a Simrad WP30 / 32 auto pilot will fit the newer Catalina/Edson pedestals (like used on the C-28 through C-34 with the engine guage cluster behind the wheel. I know the Simrad will fit the Edson pedestal I had one on my older C-36 but our new Catalina has the engine control panel behind the wheel and I'm wondering if I'll have room for the WP30 as well??? Any help would be appreciated!-Rodd C.

Hi Rodd -I've enjoyed your web site with pics and info on your older Catalina 36 - tell us about your new boat! As for the Simrad WP30 (the new model is the WP32 - comes with the TP22 remote), I believe it should work on your new boat as well, but I can't be 100% certain. I'll look into it for you if you don't get a quick answer.Best,Trevor

We bought a 2005 C-310

I'm concerned that there won't be enough clearance betwen the guage cluster and the wheel for the WP32..??
