I have propane tank (regular looking type, like the one on your grill in the back yard). It has lasted for a long time without needing a refill. I took it off the boat this year when I winterized the boat. It sits in a dedicated locker in the cockpit. It worked fine. I brought it home and in the car when driving and if I pick it up and move it, it makes a ticking noise. Something is floating back and forth in it. It clicks back and forth till the liquid gas stops floating back and forth. Is this normal? Is this something special on a boat propane tank? Obviously my grills in the back yard never did this. Thanks.
