I have NAVCO speed and depth an a Navco wind indicator on my 97 Hunter 26. I finally got everything working this year. Now, as I am sailing, all the instruments work fine for about one minute, then they just freeze and don't respond to the function keys. They show to be on and working but just frozen at random numbers. Anyone got a clue what or how I should look for the problem or fix?

Sounds like power...

Sounds like you may have low-volts or something. You might wanna measure your 12v as it comes into the back of the first instrument electrically in line. If its low, then isolate each instrument from power and see if one of them is drawing it down. Its also possible that you might be dropping voltage at any connection along the circuit. Good luck. Navco or Navico?

Call them. They see more failure modes in a day than we see in a lifetime. Good luck.

Wind electronics

I had all the wind electronics on two different boats, they worked one season then over the winter went south. I had them repaired several times and then gave up. The tech told me, the last time that I had a lightening strike, he said that it's common and the equipment will draw them. I just gave up, but when they worked they were great, now all I have is the Windex.
