I was thinking of getting a small daysailer to singlehand for when I don't have anyone to sail my O'Day 25 with. I picked up a Thistle last fall, but have been informed that the Thistle is not a relaxing daysailer, but a manic racer requiring a crew of three. I haven't tried it yet. There is a Widgeon for sale in my area for a good price (I haven't gone to see it yet, so I don't really know if it's a good price). Considering how many of these little boats were built, over 5,000, there isn't a whole lot to read about them online. Should I look into the Widgeon. It looks like fun, but I probably don't need another boat. Or should I just buck up and learn to singlehand the 25? Or, should I try to singlehand the Thistle and try not to die?
