Looking for suggestions - including repair folks local to north/central NJ or Ithaca NY - for replacing the wooden transom in a 1964/1965 era Widgeon. I have seen some old posts from 2011for the exact repair - but we are concerned that if we cut the stern bench out entirely we will not be able to glass it back in place. The wood is completely rotted, we have pulled out most of the pieces, still have more to get at. The gudgeons pulled out of the stern so we are finally forced to deal with something we have been able to sail without repairing. I am attaching a couple of pictures.
Thanks for any advice in advance - you guys convinced us to buy new sails vs used, they work great as you all promised
