Does this seem correct, I dated this as a 1971, trying to confirm before looking for manuals for this boat and attempting to register it my state.

Sure looks correct.
I suspect the manual for most, if not all, of the boats will be nearly/exactly the same.
Boat builders of production boats try to build on successful boat, then copy it. Only challenge is that some of the hardware will change through the years as a less expensive part becomes available or someone thinks adding a widget hear or taking something off there will make the boat more snazzy...

Looking for the various stainless steel pins, clasp, turnbucklea,, rope cleats and pulleys and who makes replacement sails. The hardware is mostly there, but some has been replaced with standard steel so I need to replace those.
The sails will work, but they are weathered and starting to fray so I'm guessing they will only have a season or 2 in them. Any chance you know the various rope sizes? Most might be a 3/8, but looks like a couple where replaced with what they had on hand, could be wrong.

i assume by a pulley you mean a block.
From the images I have found, you should have no problem building a rig for your boat.
I’ll look a little more and share some ideas for a typical boat like the widgeon.

Where did you get that list of Widgeon sail numbers cross-referenced to the build years? That would be a SUPER GREAT addition to the Expanded Owners Manual that I created and sell copies of! It also confirms (if accurate?) my recent discovery that my Widgeon (Hull# 22691, Class# 17910 was a 1970 model, not a 1969 model as I had always thought.
I will tell you that the very fact that your boat has that plate tells me that she is an early 1973 or older model. A picture would further narrow down the year (I have the list of standard hull colors for most years). The manual for any year of the Widgeon may help, but there were changes in the rigging setup over the 1963-89, 1990-2004 production runs.
Interesting that your ID plate is missing several digits in the Hull#, for some reason, that is very common, Class#s are usually accurate on all models, but O'DAY Hull# is often shortened. Obviously, Class# is the important number as that indicates how many WIDGEONs had been built, where as the Hull# is refering to total O'DAY production of all models, if it was complete it could be compared to the Hull# of any other O'DAY at the time and if the year of that other boat were known, it helps narrow down the year of your boat.

MA making ans selling replacement parts for our O'DAYs. He is on-line www.drmarine.com with a page for the parts of each model. It is always best to follow-up any web order with a phone call (508) 644-3001 to clarify the order and check on shipping as Rudy often finds better ways of shipping if possible. He is also a good source for answrs to questions.

Once I can figure the ropes I should replace this year, I plan on getting some more. I had to cut one, it was to frayed and rotten.
I am looking for that website, but didn't save it; I think it came from a Florida marina.
I have attached some pictures, most are my son and I working to clean it. I am in the process of fixing some of the fiberglass that has cracking and sprawling. I am also trying to sand off some sort of paint some one put on it likely in 1997 based off the registration stickers in the layer. It appear to almost be a latex or some other non gel-coat paint on the hull, but the rest appears to be a gel-coat. I have more on the way. Plan on just rolling it on, I have not worked with gel-coat before so I don't want to total my guns to shoot it.

The pictures seem to confirm the 1971-2 model, the blue cockpit non-skid, jib blocks on seat backs with cam cleats on cb trunk, and built on n cooler/stowage compartment, with white hull and deck all add up to 1971-2. Can't argue with the Class# being within the 1971 range though! I suspect that the non-skid was painted blue, as it seems to match the covers for the bow stowage compartment, they would have originally been clear varnish. That would explain the 1971 Class#. BTW: I like the blue better than the "standard" Fern Green!!

Boat could be a 1971, that was ordered with a white hull instead of the standard choice of "Fern Green" or Yellow, but all Widgeons had a green cockpit non-skid sole that year. 1972 had the blue non-skid, but standard hull colors were either Tangerine or Dark Blue, again boat may have been ordered in white as a custom color. Possible that hull or cockpit non-skid have been painted. Everything else that I stated as clues still match either 1971 or 1972, but in theory do not match 1973 or later, and this style of Widgeon (deck design) was not built before 1971 Model year.
