There is one in Passamaquady Bay off New Brunswick called "The old sow". Don't have any experience with it nor do I want to.

From AI query.
Devil’s Hole (also called Devil’s Hole whirlpool) is a well-documented large tidal whirlpool that forms in Dent Rapids, British Columbia, south of Little Dent Island in the Discovery Islands / Cordero Channel area (roughly 50.40°N, 125.21°W, about 30 miles northeast of Campbell River).

In short, the evidence is strong and consistent across charts, hydrographic data, scientific observations of related tidal processes, extensive mariner reports, and visual documentation: a large, dangerous tidal whirlpool known as Devil’s Hole regularly forms in Dent Rapids under the right flood conditions.

Not if you transit the waters during the slack.

There are jet boats that bring the tourists out to see the whirlpools up close and sometimes a bit too personal.
Reminds me of the scene in Pirates of the Caribbean.
