I'm trying to save this boat and put the post here for the largest viewing audience. Was that an automatic thing?

No Charlie, Nothing is automatic here. It was a judgement call by someone.

Charlie,

One of Phil's biggest pet peeves is items posted for free or for sale in the general forums. It may get the boot to the proper area, free or not. I know he spent a lot of money on the software for the classified system and can't blame him. The Digital Dumpster Dive is probably the proper area for a free item. I assume Phil killed it cause it was not me..

It's trivial, but it wasn't a for sale or free post; it was a rescue post. In other words, the same thing you'd have for an abandoned puppy, or if an automotive site, an abandoned classic barn find. Seems a bit different, but I'm no moderator and someone has to make the call.

Ok, it's back here now. I'll defer to Rick on this one -- he's been around here almost as long as I have. And, I have to admit, I didn't notice it was due to be destroyed this week. Fair enough.

Thanks much Phil. I have a possible partial player on her so far and will try to get a stay of execution tomorrow.
