Why Was My Thread Moved?

I realize that a thread about problems with the website app fits better in the Site Talk forum, but I intentionally placed it in Ask All Sailors because with 330K posts vs, 5K posts at Site Talk, I figured it had a better chance of being read by someone with the same problem. Sheesh...oversight

It actually has a better chance of being answered in Site Talk, as those posts send us special notifications.

Also, many, many users -- including most old the old timers -- use the "new posts" link in the site nav or on the app, which breaks down the walls between forums.

Actually it was I who moved it. Simply for the reason stated by Phil. That post could have been buried in the Ask All Sailors forum as that forum fills up very quickly with many new posts.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you, but I felt it had a better chance of being addressed in the Site Talk forum.
