I'm interested in buying a 322. I'm confused at why the 1991 model would be listed as cheaper than say a 1988 model in the BUC value book. Was there a problem with that year???
I have a 1989 O'day 322, and talked to some people who work on boats about this model prior to my purchase. The 1989 322 was the last year O'day made them before bankruptcy. The 1991 is a Pearson/O'day .The 1991 was the last year Pearson made them and the quality suffered.I have been through a 1991 and the quality of fixtures and finishes was not as good as mine.Good Luck
I would be more concerned with the hull integrity and condition of mast, rigging, etc. than finish of interior or what kind of lights they put in. How's the wiring? How's the plumbing? Maybe money spent on a surveyor would be a good investment. Just an opinion. Good luck, fair winds Mark
