Funny, I like strings to pull. Bummed that my 192 doesn't have a traveller. And you know I'm thinking thoughts of having some custom SS tubing bridge built on the aft end of the coaming, so I could mount a traveller with room for the tiller to go under... :D

I took some club Sunfish out with another guy who used to sail beach cats when he was a teenager. I kept pulling away from him, though both Sunfish should be rigged the same (same gooseneck position and halyard position...) Finally he says to me, "I noticed you're always looking at your sail, while I'm busy looking around everywhere else. I'm gonna try that..." and pretty soon, he was keeping up better.

But for all I'm constantly tweaking things, trying to go faster no matter what boat I'm on, I fully realize that I would SUCK with tactics in a real race. I guess the only way to get better with that is to skipper some round the buoys racing...

That first photo looks like a store demo display of sailboat hardward.

I have just started racing my 25 and about the only thing I would do is move the blocks for the jib sheets back a bit and add a real traveller. What were they thinking with that pin system?!
