Why buy a Vision 32

We are sold on this boat

We can't wait to buy a Vision '32 so just as soon as our Irwin '34 is sold, we're there. Looks like a great boat for older sailors who want less work and more sailing plus it's a great vessel for one couple. Thanks for all the input.

Slow Boat

They have a lot of room but don't sail very well. I have a 30T and sail cirlces around the Vison 32 on our lake. The saloon is hugh but does not proivde good access to the v-berth - good for kids though.

how slow is slow?

Well, how fast do I need to go? I'm not looking to race and don't need a v berth except for storage so the Vision looks right for me.

What is the biggest problem with this boat

What about ongoing problems ie repairs?

Aluminum Tanks

Actually, it is less troublesome than most boats. The waste tank will probably need replacing and possibly the fresh warer tank. Replace them with poly tanks when the time comes. And, it isn't that slow. It points and goes to weather better than you might think. It doesn't go as fast as some full-genoa rigged boats but will reach faster and will keep on her feet at 15+ knots and blow the doors off a lot of the competition under those conditions. Rick D.
