I am seriously considering buying a 321. I sailed one over the weekend and thought is was a pretty boat with good sailing characteristics. I have sailed numerous boats in this range and like the 321. What is the main reason people buy Beneteaus? What features attract sailers to this boat? What are some of the problems you have had with your boat. I know that all boats have problems and I would like to know what to expect before I buy the boat. Any advice wood be appreciated. Stuart Gordon Sgordon404 @aol.com

Why buy 321

Our 2nd boat was a First 32. My only regretis that we should have purchased a larger boat in the begining! 2 years later we bought a 39 and now own a 44. The 32 was too lightweight. When we bought the 39 the boat was substaintailly heavier and much more forgiving and a lot easier to handle especially in rough seas and heavy winds. We upgrades to a 44 several years ago and the only reason we did this is because we will retire on this boat and take it down South and live on it in the Winter time so it has a little more space than the 39 so we don't get the cabin fever! Cannot say enough good things about the Beneteau--great styling and they use lots of wood and for the money the performance is wonderful and most importantly safe!

"The Boats"

For more information and leads, by any chance have you visited the section "The Boats"? For example, unless time is really short one could go down the owners list and send them E-mails with the questions. I've done this with fairly good success. Got about a 50 percent response rate with a couple in-depth answers.
