84 H31 My battery monitor gave up and need to replace. Was thinking of a simple and inexpensive two battery bank set up of a double throw momentary switch (which I have on hand) wired to a stand alone digital monitor. Question.....Should this work OK running a single wire to each positive battery post and using a common ground? The switch is a single pole double (momentary) throw, so no way to switch the ground side. Any help appreciated.

Common Ground

A common ground is perfectly fine. You will probably find that with a multi-bank battery, the grounds are tied together and then to a ground bus with a single (large) wire. Michael
