Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW !!!!!

We just got hit with a huge dump of snow from a system that came up from Texas and the Gulf.
Lake Huron / Michigan just set an all time record low water levels for Dec. & Jan. from the previous record from 1963. So. if we have to endure winter up here.... BRING IT ON.... we need snow.... we need rain...... especially if we're getting water transfered from other regions into the Great Lakes.... :D

This won't impress the folks from the Great White North of course, but it's enough to make me look forward to spring. At 67" to date, we're a foot behind the seasonal average for this time of year of 81", and hopefully we catch up, as the lake was pretty low this past season. Total seasonal average is a whisker under 100".

We just got another foot this morning. I had to go out and get all the snow out of the sagging spots...hard to do without getting it all down your back. Hopefully this is the last big snowstorm of the season.

Well, as much as I'm enjoying that strange yellow light and 40F temps we have right now, I actually am hoping for a few more feet of snow this season. The Great Lakes (and presumably other FW bodies around here, like the Finger Lakes) could really use it. A few feet this time of year wouldn't really create problems, as the towns have no problem handling it, and it'll go away soon enough. Like in May. (o_O)

None here this year (well an inch or so in January) but then we're only 48 degrees North.
Beautiful sunny day today. Outside in a "T" shirt and no jacket. (Lake Stevens WA)
Tomorrow I'm going Cross Country skiing, but I have to drive an hour to get into the mountains for that.
