I'm new to Atlanta and will be sailing my Rhodes 19 on Lanier. Looking for a place to store mast up on the trailer, on the 85 side. Will be going up and driving around, but it's a huge area, and hoping someone here might have some experience with storage around Buford, Flowery Branch or Gainesville.

go to Holiday marenia and check it out or go by the west marine and talk to some of the people that work there ...some of the employees there are really sailors......

I keep mine at Aqualand part of the year. There is also Sunrise Cove Marina. I have been treated well at both marina's. Aqualand has facilities that allow you to keep it on the trailer mast up. I keep mine in a slip so I can just step on and go. Also I don't have to drive the truck to go sailing.
I belong to the Barefoot Sailing Club at Lake Lanier.

I like to spend time in Florida along the gulf coast whenever possible.

Look up Dottie Toney and the Catalina 34 Fleet 13. They have great cruises and other fun stuff and accept all kinds of boats.

You may also try Lake Keowee in Seneca Sc. Beautiful lake @ 15m long 4 m east to west, in a dog leg. Keowee sailing club is located on the SE section of the lake . Also Lake Hartwell is on the Ga SC bourder, quite large.. come to both and explore. Lots of sailboats on both.
