Here are some images. I bought the windex thing from west marine!

Pardon the pushpit "action shot" :)

It also serves very well for supporting the mast during travel! Though I will admit, the "bend" is from a mast-lowering that turned into a mast-dropping...I mean....I meant to put that there

The antenna mount and strap for the windex are very much like what I had on mine. They both worked quite well.

Hi Dan

+ 1 on the suggestion to put a small block on your head stay deck fitting for your jib down haul. I then tied a small block to the base of a port side life line stanchion to route the down haul aft and keep the foredeck clear. Consider placing some netting on the life lines forward to keep the lowered jib from blowing over the side...unless of course you want some fresh shrimp for dinner.

Kind regards

Hugh

Dan, I used a piece of ss angle I ordered from Garhauer for my anchor light mount. 2 pieces of this angle, one facing starboard and one facing port was my idea for a VHF mount. I was given a new hand held so I didn't add it. I have pictures of this and my blocks for running your main halyard to the cockpit in my profile. Good luck, Charles

Charles,

Thanks for the info! I saw the pics on your profile a while back, and that's when I decided that I had to run my lines back to the cockpit. Couple of questions for you if you don't mind. Did you find that your cabin top had a metal core, or did you have to reinforce the cabintop where your winch and rope clutch are located? Also, you ran both of your halyards from the same side, is that necessary? Honestly, to make things easier I was considering just running the jib back on the portside (along with the downhaul) and keeping the main on starbord. I figure it's a small boat, and I probably don't need a winch for either (though I have one for the main, I'm just going to relocate like you did). Also, what exactly did you attach your VHF radio to?

Thanks!

Hugh,

I think I agree with you all about the bow pulpit. There is a place where I can attach a block without having to drill more holes, so i'm going to go that route. I have an extra block already (though it was a stand up who's base plate broke). I'm going to see if I can't make that work, then run my downhaul line down port through the supports for the lifelines. Hopefully that'll allow smooth operation, and keep the line mostly out of the way.
