1981 Hunter 30 if all turns out well. It's across the canal from us and I've always admired the boat and the owners can't really get out on it anymore. Seems they have taken good care of it and they are the original owners, just had the bottom painted a few months ago. We talked about it briefly before they went to Florida and we will go over and check out the inside and everything up close when they get back (hopefully next week).
The hard part is that everytime I look out the window or go outside, I find myself looking at the boat and dreaming. I've done a fair amount of research on this boat, it was actually what I originally wanted to get but we got a deal on our 25.5... now that the familiy is growing again, we need more room and comfort to ensure the wife wants to get out every chance we get.
Though we are probably getting a great deal on the boat, there are likely a lot of things we will need to buy over the next few years... I am not sure what electronics they have, I don't assume much if any ( i dont see anything on the pedestal and don't see the wheel unti for a wheel autopilot). so likely gonna need an autopilot, windvane (the one that talks to the autopilot), bimini, dodger (at some point), lifeline netting for the kids. roller furling (one day), new mainsail (in a year or two), dingy (probably make a sailing dink). I'm sure I could go on and on and everything will have to be purchased over a long period of time... unless I win the lotto. Jeez, that should have been a quick answer, sorry for the book
