Does anyone know what that white stuff I see some sailors and oudoor enthusiasts wear for sun block on their lips and noses? They seem to wear it rather thick and it doesn't absorb into the skin like lotion. I have seen it in other colors than white also,I remember the movie Captain Ron, he was wearing some and I have also seen it on the Americas cup when they interviewd one of the Swiss sailors. Does anyone know what it is called and who makes it. Any trade names? or where to buy it? Thank You.

Comes in colors too.

Scott: If you would have lived in Southern California you would have seen all of the lifeguards wearing this stuff for years. The original stuff was just generic Zinc Oxide like Pete mentioned. Now I think you can find it from the sun tan lotion mfg. It is 100% sun block, but and does not sweat off like the lotions. Good stuff for people with big noses (like me) or if you have fair skin.
