Fellow mariners,

So today I notice some white smoke/steam coming out of my Renault rc8 diesel engine exhaust elbow and also notice some oil (i think it's oil) on the bottom of my transom.

Hoping some of you "Mechanically Inclined" can help:redface:

If it really is steam (and not smoke), look for a reduced sea water flow to the heat Xchanger. If you have an IR gun, shoot various points to determine the temp. Check the usual suspects as found in the archives here.

This has been covered quite extensively recently.
