Whit Lock Steering

we have a 361 Beneteau 2000. we have a Whit-Lock steering system.
we would like to take off the wheel when in port.... i took off the shaft bolt and the nut... but it still does not come away.... what do i do next..
im not sure what system i have.. i took a picture of it.... any advise ...thanx

I take the wheel off all the time when in an anchorage. Remove the centre locking spindle as in the photo. Then remove the nut holding the wheel as also seen in the photo. Pull the wheel straight back. It may be a little stuck due to grease etc but will come off. Be careful not to lose the key in the keyway once off.
