Snow is melting Yeah ! Bought a 336 last year and I am a very happy hunter owner since then. I would like to purchase a whisker pole but i've heard a lot of story about them. Ex: It will bend after a while or you will be able to use your whisker pole only under a zizi wind condition.... Do you have any good or bad exprérience to talk about these whisker pole téléscopic Are they strong enough for a 135 % jib. My purchase intetion is à 6-12f 1 inch 1/4 Tks and Fair winf for all of us. Whisker Pole Diameter

IMHO You would be asking for trouble with a pole that small on a 33 foot boat. I have a 1-3/4 to 2"dia 8x14 adjustable twist lock type on a 28.5 and I consider that marginal but workable in medium-light air.

Thank you for the advise, I will consider a larger diameter. Just to make sure that she won't bend Robert

There's a lot...

...of garbage info out there. Your whisker pole will last forever, if you buy the right size and use it correctly. You need a 2 1/2" line control pole. It will need to be able to extend 1.8 times J. Twist lock poles are not strong enough and cannot be adjusted once they are up. An LC pole will run you about $500. Buy it right the first time.
