Whisker Pole needed

Am looking for an economically-priced yet durable whisker pole for my '94 H26. J=9' 5-1/2", so probably need up to 15' pole. Lake Ontario gets fairly kinetc, so it needs to be sturdy. Reside in Kingston, ON, at east end of the Lake, but would travel if the price is right.

Make your own.... you can purchase the end fitting from any chandery, shop around for the pole.

For a light pole, Home Depot has pool cleaning poles for about $20.

We have a member selling a telescoping 2" diameter pole 6' to 10 ft. for $125. You could cruise over to Olcott and pick it up.

A dock neighbor did that and then watched it pretzel in 1 knot of wind. They need to be pretty sturdy. If you are not careful even the purpose made ones like Forespar, they can get hosed up if you don't use them right.

Not really feeling the pool cleaning pole..... but this month's
"Good Old Boat" has an under $50 whisker pole project using an adjustable painter's extension........ might be worth your time to check it out.
