Which type of furling system

Dear All, As a new sailor with a recently purchased 25' sailboat (lancer weighted keel) I have a generic question about furling. I would like to go to a furling system to make sailing easier for my family. Any thoughts on a complete furling package ($1000) versus the furling systems for 25' and smaller ($300) that only contain/utlize the top and bottom portions? (I apologize for my lack of terminology). Thanks!

Try Sailors exchange....

I have a 25' with the old hank-on furler system. It came with the boat. Works great for me. Call Sailors Exchange in St. Augustine Fl. for a new or used furler system. I was in there this morning and saw several. You can get a great deal on stuff there. You'll save a lot of $$$. The great thing is if it doesn't work out just send it back for a refund. Ted

I just put this unit on my 29'. Haven't used it but my slip neighbor has used his for a year and has had great success. Looks to be very high quality for very reasonable cost.
