We’ve used rollups for the past 24 years and they’ve fit our needs just fine. Easy to launch in the Spring and easy to store during the Winter.
I’d also recommend a 2.5 gas outboard. We have an Edson motor mount, works fine.
Whatever you decide, I’d also recommend a tiller extension. You‘ll get much better performance when you’re solo. You’ll be able to sit on the center seat which balances the boat much better. Sitting aft on the pontoon when your alone will cause the boat to crab, (not point straight forward) due to a flat bottom with no keel.
