I would appreciate your input. I have placed a contract on a Catalina 30. The marina broker is saying this boat is a 1989 Model, but in the owner's records there is an Owner's Certificate which lists the Hull No. as "CTYN5210A888", the Serial Number of Engine(s) as "501356--RL323 and a Delivery Date as "5/2/88". Another record on board is a Catalina Yachts Barrier Coat Five Year Limited Warranty which shows to have been issued on 1/7/88, and has for the Date of Commissioning 5/2/88. My question is this: Is this Catalina 30 a 1989 model or a 1988 model? Any ideas?? I can be reached at: shfrantz@yahoo.com. Thanks.

Your Catalina is an 88. The last two digits of the serial number denote the year. By-the-way, my Catalina 30 is an 88. Great boat!
