Will be installing new ZF transmission & damper plate next week. Just wondering what kind/brand of grease to use on the splines? Thanks.

It is my understanding that molybdenum grease is the grease for this application.
The grease serves 2 purposes, make it a bit easier to slide the transmission on to the spline and to keep the part from becoming one due to corrosion. I used waterproof axle grease, I think it was from Lubriplate and is a blue sticky grease. Doesn't take much, just enough to keep the parts from corroding together.
