Where's the Water Strainer Hiding?

Sorry to post noob questions but where's the water strainer for the diesel engine on the 8.7?

Lacking a more definitive answer, generally close to the raw water intake thruhull ( if it exists at all).

where's the water strainer for the diesel engine on the 8.7

I've seen several older boats that did not have raw water strainers.

I mean like, what could possibly go wrong ?

I'm going to check to see if I got a small screen at the intake next time I get a chance
