I've called the Harbormaster to see if they have any records. She appears to be on a mooring in the inner harbor which are all town owned. Seems they don't keep names of owners/opperators, just the vessel. How did you get the picture? Vineyard Haven is home turf for me.

Alden 38' Challenger yawl Rockport Harbor
I met the owner several years ago in Edgartown.

Just briefly on the water. The woman (owner I assume) knew the previous owner of my boat. Sorry I don't have more info Iain.

Glad to see you're home! Mary 'Ann and I had a terrific time meeting you, your son and Hal. I'm looking forward to you giving me an account of the races and where you went. I must have just missed youi somewhere on the coast. Please send me an emain when you get a chance (or maybe the message thingie here if that's more convienient), I lost you address (again). Good to see you here, Tom

Here's Alden Challenger ECHO

Owned by the Cabot family (since build I believe) and kept in Cabot Cove inside Pulpit Harbor, North Haven Island, Penobscot Bay, Maine. She is well kept and looks all original.

Re: Alden Challenger ECHO

I punted round and round and round her in the gloaming of Cabot Cove during the summer and was impressed by the rake LeComte applied to the raised part of her house and companionway hatch. I guess that's one of the nice things about these boats: that different finishers applied their own variations to the Alden drawings.
