The Admiral and I desperately need some boat time. We are going to Auto train from Va. to Orlando,then drive down to the Keys,hopefully with the top down getting suntanned. We plan to spend 2 Days in the keys before heading north. Can anyone point me to low to moderate price digs with perhaps a rental fleet nearby for a "3 hour tour" ? Somewhere mid keys ,I guess. A Key West visit is planned but don`t necesarily want to stay there.

I think there's been a banner ad on this website for a cottage in the mid keys with a Catalina 22 available to use. If not, I think it might be in GOB magazine in the classified. The rental may be by the week but ...
Key West has a sailing club who rent boats, I think. But when I was there in March they were in a winter mode and not open. You can find them online or one of those visiter websites.

I don't know for sure but I have seen sailboat and sun set cruises in Key West when we visited but don't have aa name.
As mentioned rent a cottage and sailboat included with rental.

Thanks for the lead. I just checked out Key Lime Sailing club in Key Largo. Boats come with cottages,would have been perfect,but booked up.No amount of whining was helpful...The lady at the desk told me that no other options she knew of, only place with boats. I`ll keep looking though.

Stayed at the Postcard Inn, Holiday Isle a in December and had a great time. There are a couple of places to rent boats in or near Islamorada.
