Attention all 320 owners, do you have a Raymarine EV-100 autopilot installed in your 320? Where did you mount EV-100's sensor? Where did you mount the ACU-100 (control box)?

My marine mechanic and I are going to install EV-100 in my 320 on Tuesday. I want to be prepared for this.

The EV-100 sensor is very sensitive. It must be installed at least 1 meter away from any iron, magnetic, or electronic devices. It should be mounted near the centerline of the boat (although this is not strictly required) and positioned low, approximately at the same level as the waterline.

You probably already installed this but if by sensor, you're referring to the GPS receiver, it's not very sensitive. PO had mine mounted on the rail with a ton of electrical tape for the wire. I moved it into the aft lazarette, under the bench. Works fine. It might take a few extra seconds to warm up.

Just to clarify, the EV-1 Sensor Core is not a GPS antenna. It's a 9 axis heading sensor. Akin to a compass.
