Where is the best place to mount an inline gasoline fuel/water separator? I seem to recall seeing a picture about this posted to this site some time ago (but can't find it with the "search" feature). I have an Atomic 4 without an electric fuel pump. Will a fuel/water separator work without the pull of an electic pump? Any help and advice will be appreciated. Paul

some advice

my separator is mounted in the engine compartment on the starboard side. the fuel line runs from the tank to the filter to the motor. i have an electric fuel pump so i'm not sure if it is required. my thought would be it isn't. the definitive answer is from don moyer at moyer marine - see link below.

Paul: I have the same set-up as you....I put mine back of the engine on the starboard side....I have a nice "little" opening to access the engine....Drilled a couple of holes in the side of the qwuarter birth and mounted it. Works like a charm......I also put a petcock on the base of the filter to allow easy removal of the water....which there seems to be some from time to time....DAVE
