I have made a cardboard box 18x18x12 to mimic the size of my new A/C unit. I cannot find a place for it. I felt I could follow Ed's location but even if I lower the shelf in the rear cabin cabinet, the box wont fit. I also checked under the galley sink, head sink, etc. I am trying to stay on the port side as I really want 3 drops. A 4" for he V berth, a 6" for the main cabin and a 4" for the rear cabin.
The only solution I have found is to make a cabinet under the nav table. I can make it to the ground or hang it under the table as a half height cabinet. That would allow my feet to still fit if I seat facing the table.
I have enclosed a couple of pictures showing the modifications. Any advise or comments are appreciated.

That's a large unit Jose, much bigger than mine. My Mermaid template was a standard size cardboard box with one inch off the height. Starboard or port I don't think you have any choice but to go under the nav table.
