Where to haul a boat in LA area

Captain Holly just did a talk on this down at the West Marine in Long Beach... She loves the family run boat yard in Wilmington area called Cabrillo Boat Shop - (562) 951-5768

I like Long Beach Marine Shipyard, but I don't do much DIY anymore. The smaller yards up the channel are more DIY friendly.

They sounded nice but cant put it on a trailer. I'm shipping the boat north.

i have always liked augie camello's boatyard...colonial-----augie was smart and raised his kids right-----they run the show now---excellent family business and has always been goood work done there.....

for putting it on a trailer---if it the right size for the crane, there is a yard just the other side of lighthouse yacht landings from camellos yard and they have had the ability to place a boat onto a trailer if it isnt too big......6500 pounds used to be too big--but i also heard there is a new crane there.......

Cabrillo Should Be Able To Handle It

...and there is good semi & trailer access.

I've found that Eddie's can handle it and is just around the corner from where the boat is. Thats important because the engine is in pieces on the floor;-)
